To the extent necessary, amply secure the surrounding area
when performing installation. Cordon off the working area with
a red and white safety chain and a warning sign.
1. The tension springs are set to an initial pre-tension by
factory default.
Disassemble the covering plate as described in
Ä
Chapter
6.3.2 “Removing/repairing the clamping unit” on page 131.
2. Check the pre-tension that pushes the Multi Disc against the
press channel or the filter press channel in the case of the HP
version.
3. Correct the pre-tension, if necessary, by turning the clamping
screw using a suitable wrench.
4.
Install the covering plate as described in

5. Switch on the gear motor of the separator.
6. To start with, feed the Bioselect with substrate slowly and in
doses by opening any shut-off devices and/or switching on
the connected pump in low-frequency mode.
ð
After a few seconds, the thick matter which is still viscous
will enter the compactor unit. Depending on the substrate,
it may take up to a few minutes until the thick matter is
sufficiently pressed and dehydrated, the rotating and
sealing Multi Disc opens, and the first thick matter mate-
rial falls out.
7. Should the output product still contain an undesirably
high amount of liquid after a few minutes:
Switch off the pump or close off the gravity feed.
Switch off the gear motor of the separator.
Increase the pre-tension on the Multi Disc as described in
this chapter.
