Functional description
21.4.4 Driving
When the speed control R1 is activated, the drive motor brakes are
released. If the safety switch S23 is not actuated when the parking
brake is released, the truck cannot be driven and a buzzer sounds from
the display.
If the driver presses the accelerator pedal as the green button I is
pressed on the keyboard, the pedal must be returned to the neutral
position before the truck can be driven.
When the accelerator pedal is pressed down, the potentiometer R1 is
actuated and the more the accelerator is pressed down the lower the
voltage that is fed from R1 to A5. The voltage drops from 3.7 V to 1.7 V,
giving a speed of 0-100%. A1 controls the drive motors speed using
information from A5. Current passes through A1’s fuse F1 and is con
-
verted into 3-phase AC, which goes to M1.
If the switch for speed reduction S31 is actuated so that there is voltage
on A5’s input, the pre-programmed max. speed will apply. Drive motor
speed is measured by sensor U11.
If the direction of travel selector on the control console is held down for
at least three seconds, the truck runs at crawl speed.
If the driver leaves his seat for more than three seconds, A5 cuts the
current to Y1, causing the parking brake to be applied.
The drive motors running time is monitored and stored in the electronic
module.
