Declutchswitch(4-speedonly)
Declutchcanincreasethespeedoftheliftarmsbytem-
porarilyremovingtheloadofthetransmissionfromthe
engine.Itisoftenusedbyoperatorswhileapproachinga
truckwithafullbucket.TheDeclutchswitchwilldecouple
thetransmissionfromtheenginewhenbrakepressureis
sensed,allowingmoreenginepowerforhydraulics.This
pressureisadjustableinthedisplay.Ahigherbrakepres-
suretoactivatetheDeclutchfunctionisdesirablewhen
operatingoninclines.Higherbrakepressureistheresult
ofincreasingbrakepedaltravel.Alowerbrakepressure
toactivatetheDeclutchfunctionisdesirablewhenoperat-
ingonrm,atterrain.Lowerbrakepressureistheresult
oflimitedbrakepedaltravel.PushtheDeclutchbutton
onthesideconsoletoactivatetheDeclutchfunction.De-
clutchpressureadjustmentismadeinthedisplay(access
toMachinesettings/Transmission–seeChapter3inthis
manual).

Powerinch(5-speedonly)
Powerinchadjuststheclutchcut-offpointdependingon
transmissionoutputtorqueandbrakepressure.Itcon-
trolsthevehicle’stractiveforcethroughthebrakepedal,
regardlessofenginespeed.Powerinchisadriveline
managementsystemwhichimprovestheoperationofthe
wheelloader,makingitidealforloadingtrucksorturning
tightcorners.Atfullhydraulicperformance,thetractive
forceneededtomovethevehicleislimitedtothemin-
imumrequiredinsteadofthemaximumavailable.This
principlereducespowerlossinthetorqueconverterand
energylossintheaxleservicebrake.Itwillaidproductiv-
ity,asmorepowerisavailableforthevehiclehydraulics
andtheoperatorcanexperiencesmoothcontrolathigh
engineandlowdrivingspeeds.Itwillimproveoverallhan-
dlingaswell.
