Cylinder / Piston
Piston/Cylinder Installation
Remove the gasket from the crankcase surface.
Be careful not to damage the gasket surface.
Place a shop towel over the crankcase opening
to prevent piston pin clips from falling into the
crankcase.
NOTE

Oil Ring

Piston/Cylinder Installation
Piston Ring Installation
Clean the piston domes, ring lands and skirts
and install the piston ring.
Be careful not to damage the piston and piston
rings during assembly.
Carefully install the piston rings onto the
piston with the markings facing up.
Be careful not to be confused between the top
ring and second ring.
Stagger the ring end gaps 120apart.
Do not align the oil ring and the side rail end
gaps.
After installing the rings, check that they
rotates freely without sticking.
