Configuring Print Controls
When a printer alert occurs, the printer can react in 1 of three dierent ways:

Trigger a warning
•
•
Stop printing
•
•
Be ignored (ignore the alert).
•
The user can choose how the printer will react to each alert by adjusting the configuring print
controls settings.
To setup configuring print controls:

From the Home screen, select the Settings icon:

Select the Advanced Settings icon:

Select Configuring print controls.

Set the actions for the items listed below:4.
Name Description
Speed limit Select what will happen when the production line speed goes
higher than the printer's maximum speed limit.
Receiving data timeout Select what will happen, if the printer does not receive VDC
(variable data connection) data within a specific time.
Delay data Select what will happen when a print trigger occurs when
printing.
Empty data Select what will happen, if a print is triggered, but the printer
has not received variable data.
No cartridge Select what will happen when there is no ink cartridge in the
print head.
Invalid cartridge Select what will happen if the ink cartridge is invalid.
Lock cartridges Select what will happen if the ink cartridge is locked..
Ink out Select what will happen if the ink cartridge is empty.
Ink low Select what will happen if the ink level is low.
