10 Error Codes and Descriptions - IEC
This section provides a description of error codes and the affect on the dispenser if they occur.
The iGEM computer’s on-board LED indicators, described in the Board Layout section of this
manual, also aid in troubleshooting. In addition, refer to the iGEM Function Programming manual
WM048525 IEC version for details on iGEM functions and statistics.
10.1 Error/Event Classification
Depending on how serious an error or event is, it may be handled differently. Errors/Events shall
be classified as specified in the table below:

Error/event is only logged.ALOG
Error/event is logged as specified above and filling is terminated.BTERMINATION
Error/event is logged as specified above, filling is terminated and current
dispenser side is closed.
CSEMI-FATAL
Error/event is logged as specified above, filling is terminated and both dis-
penser sides are closed.
DFULLY-FATAL
Error/event is logged as specified above, filling is terminated and both dis-
penser sides are closed, power cycle must be done.
ECATASTROPHIC
Error/event is not logged, but certain message on display gives information
about error.
FINDICATION
Error is not logged, no action.GDISABLED
Error is not logged, error counter is increased.HCOUNT
10.2 Error/Event Types
The following table specifies how error/events are classified. The template shall determine the
classification of each error/event. The error/event numbers in the first column of the table may
be changed during implementation and are provided in this table only as an aid in comprehending
the information.
