Chapter 3: Installation and Testing
If the park brake is released electrically, the RHINO2 limits the speed of the scooter to the
value that is set with the Push Speed parameter (4.4.3.13). This is to make sure that the
scooter is limited to a safe speed on a slope while the park brakes are electrically released.
Warnings:
To meet ISO requirements, the scooter must not be able to drive when the park
brake is released.
Do not operate the park brake release while on a slope.
3.6.1 Park Brake Testing
The RHINO2 has 3 different modes for testing the park brake circuitry. These are selected with
the Park Brake Testing parameter (4.4.6.1).
None - disables all park brake testing.
Pre-Drive - tests the park brake every time the throttle is moved out of neutral.
Driving - tests the park brake every time the throttle is moved out of neutral and
periodically while driving. This test may result in some audible noise during
driving.
Warning:
Do not turn off Park Brake Testing unless there are no park brakes installed.
