Enable PIN: This enables the SIM Card PIN (if you don't want PIN management you have to disable
the PIN in the SIM before inserting it in the control panel).
PIN: This can be used to enter the PIN associated with the SIM Card, if you enable the PIN code. The
PIN code is supplied by the GSM network company.
Test of GSM Line Availability: This enables the periodic check of the GSM line. The "GSM Failure"
event is generated after a given number of consecutive failed tests. The time interval of the periodic
check and the number of consecutive failed tests is configured in Advanced Setting.
Enable mobile data: This enables connection to the Internet via the mobile network.
APN: This can be used to enter the APN (Access Point Name) that can be used to connect to the
Internet through your operator.
By clicking the Information button you can view the IMEI (International Mobile station Equipment Identity)
code of the GSM module and the ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card ID) code that uniquely identifies the SIM
card.
Click on the Advanced Setting button to display and set the data connection parameters. The parameters
shown refer to the APNs of the various operators. Refer to the parameters of the chosen operator to make
a correct connection.
Number: In Italy the default displayed string ("99**1#") works in most cases.
User Name: the field can be left blank, unless otherwise specified by the network operator.
Password: Leave blank unless otherwise specified by the operator.
Interval of GSM Line Availability: This can be used to set every how many minutes the GSM line
presence is checked.
Number of Retries: This can be used to set the number of consecutive failed GSM line presence
tests after which the "GSM Failure" event is generated.
The actual time between the failure, or tampering, and the generation of the "GSM Failure" event is
determined by both the time interval between tests and the number of consecutive tests that must fail. For
example, if the time interval is 60 minutes and 5 consecutive tests have to fail, the signal may occur,
depending on the time between the failure and the first test, from 4 to 5 hours after the failure
IMPORTANT! To ensure conformity to EN 50136-2, it is necessary to enable the GSM line
presence test and to set the GSM line presence interval and number of attempts for a total of
not more than 3 minutes for SP4 or not more than 30 minutes if DP2.
Jamming Warning: This can be used to check if the frequency is disturbed and consequently
generate a fault signal.
Click on Reset to Factory Default to reset the default parameters of only the advanced settings of the
GSM module.
