4.3 Automated Test
4.3.1 Power Supplies
It can be used to configure the tests concerning the power supply of the control panel.
It is accessed through the CONFIGURATION → Central Unit → Automated Test menu.
Figure 16 - Power supplies
The menu shows the following items and can be used to set:
• Power Loss Warning Delay (min): This sets the minimum continuous time, in minutes, of mains
failure (230 V) before the "Power Loss warning" alarm message is sent. The "Main Power restore"
message is sent as soon as the voltage on the mains supply returns.
IMPORTANT! The power failure signalling delay must not exceed 60 minutes to ensure
compliance with the EN 50131 standard.
• Battery Test Interval (hours): This determines every how many hours the remaining battery charge
is checked.
4.3.2 Cyclic Notification
This can be used to check the correct functioning of the system by sending a notification to selected
contacts including alarm reception or remote management centres.
This test function is not mandatory but strongly recommended.
It is accessed through the CONFIGURATION → Central Unit → Automated Test menu.
Figure 17 - Cyclical alert
The menu shows the following items and can be used to set:
• Cyclic Notification Mode: This determines how the alert is performed. The possible options are:
o Disarmed: No control indications is made.
o 24 on 24: The check is run, even when the system is off, at the time interval set in the Interval
field, with the first call made at the time set in the Hour field. Reporting is carried out in the manner
configured in the Event Notification menu under CYCLIC TEST.
o System ON: The check is run only if the configured sectors are armed, at the time interval set in
the Interval field, with the first call made at the time set in the Hour field. Reporting is carried out
in the manner configured in the Event Notification menu under CYCLIC TEST.
• Hour: This determines the time of the first sending.
• Interval (hours): This determines every how many hours the sending should be repeated. Set one of
the following values to send the alerts at the same times every day: 2 (= 12 times a day), 3 (= 8 times
a day), 4 (= 6 times a day), 6 (= 4 times a day), 8 (= 3 times a day), 12 (= 2 times a day), 24 (= 1 time
a day).
