Proline Prosonic Flow W 400 HART Operation options
Endress+Hauser 55
8.2.2 Operating philosophy
The individual parts of the operating menu are assigned to certain user roles (e.g.
operator, maintenance etc.). Each user role contains typical tasks within the device life
cycle.
Menu/parameter User role and tasks Content/meaning
Language Task-
oriented
Role "Operator", "Maintenance"
Tasks during operation:
Configuration of the operational
display
Reading measured values
Defining the operating language
Defining the Web server operating language
Resetting and controlling totalizers
Operation Configuration of the operational display (e.g. display format, display
contrast)
Resetting and controlling totalizers
Setup "Maintenance" role
Commissioning:
Configuration of the measurement
Configuration of the outputs
Wizards for fast commissioning:
Configuring the measuring point
Configuring the system units
Configuring the input
Configuring the outputs
Configuration of the operational display
Definition of output conditioning
Configuring the low flow cut off
Advanced setup
For more customized configuration of the measurement (adaptation to
special measuring conditions)
Configuration of totalizers
Configuration of WLAN settings
Administration (define access code, reset measuring device)
Diagnostics "Maintenance" role
Troubleshooting:
Diagnostics and elimination of process
and device errors
Measured value simulation
Contains all parameters for error detection and analyzing process and device
errors:
Diagnostic list
Contains up to 5 currently pending diagnostic messages.
Event logbook
Contains event messages that have occurred.
Device information
Contains information for identifying the device
Measured values
Contains all current measured values.
Data logging submenu with the "Extended HistoROM" order option
Storage and visualization of measured values
Heartbeat Technology
Verification of device functionality on request and documentation of
verification results
Simulation
Used to simulate measured values or output values.
Expert Function-
oriented
Tasks that require detailed knowledge of
the function of the device:
Commissioning measurements under
difficult conditions
Optimal adaptation of the
measurement to difficult conditions
Detailed configuration of the
communication interface
Error diagnostics in difficult cases
Contains all of the device parameters and allows direct access to these by
means of an access code. The structure of this menu is based on the function
blocks of the device:
System
Contains all higher-level device parameters that do not affect
measurement or measured value communication
Sensor
Configuration of the measurement.
Input
Configuration of the status input
Output
Configuration of the analog current outputs as well as the pulse/frequency
and switch output
Communication
Configuration of the digital communication interface and the Web server
Application
Configuration of the functions that go beyond the actual measurement
(e.g. totalizer)
Diagnostics
Error detection and analysis of process and device errors and for device
simulation and Heartbeat Technology.
