Press the Key Zone/Velocity button again to get to the Velocity Range page:
Velocity Range Page Ranges: 000 to 127
The Velocity Range page enables you to determine the amount of velocity for each sound on a
selected track. The velocity range affects both local playing and MIDI transmission/reception.
The first value sets the LO velocity range, and the second value sets the HI velocity range. The
soft button beneath the velocity ranges is used to toggle between the LO and HI settings. This is
useful when you need to adjust the velocity of a sound for a particular application without
getting more deeply into programming.
In the example above, a soft velocity will only play the MEGASTRINGS sound, and a harder
velocity will only play the TENOR-SAX sound. HYPER-LOOP is not layered (underlined), so it
will not be heard. If you could double-click on the soft button above HYPER-LOOP, you would
hear HYPER-LOOP with both soft and hard velocity.
Note: This parameter will not regulate what notes are recorded into the Sequencer, but will affect
Sequencer playback. VELR acts as a filter on Sequencer playback.
Press the Key Zone/Velocity button again to get to the Velocity Sensitivity page:
Velocity Sensitivity Page Ranges: -16 to +16
