Select from the Server name list the database server or enter it manually.
Define the User authentication for the database server access and enter user
name and password if necessary.
Select a name for the new CM database.
Click OK.
The CM database will be created.

connection dialog in the chapter "Select CM database on server"

You can open a CM database as follows:
Click File > Open in the Trendline software.
