6.6.3 How to set up the static routing
Static routing allows to forward packets via a local router which is connected to the
Communication Unit. To setup static routing, do the following:
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [Network Settings].
4. Click [LAN].
5. Click [Static Routing] to show the [Static Routing] menu.
6. Referring to the table below, set up the static routing.
Item Description
Delete button Put a [9] in the box on the left side of the item to delete.
To select all items, put a [9] in the box beside the [Destination ad-
dress] title.
Add routing button Input the new static routing information. A maximum of 20 can be
registered.
1) Click the [Add routing] button.
2) Input the destination IP address (IPv4).
3) Select the LAN-side subnet mask.
255.255.255.255 is for host routing.
4) Input the default gateway (IPv4).
5) Input the metric (numeric input: 01 to 15).
6) Click the [Add] button.
To cancel all changes and close the window, click the [Cancel]
button.
7) Click the [Close] button to close the window.
Destination ad-
dress
Shows the destination address.
Subnet mask Shows the subnet mask.
Gateway Shows the gateway.
Metric Shows the metric information.
Edit button Change the routing information.
1) Click the [Edit] button.
2) Change the destination IP address (IPv4).
3) Select the LAN-side subnet mask.
255.255.255.255 is for host routing.
4) Change the default gateway (IPv4).
5) Change the metric (numeric input: 01 to 15).
6) Click the [Save] button.
To cancel all changes and close the window, click the [Cancel]
button.
7) Click the [Close] button to close the window.
