6.6 LAN Settings
The LAN Settings must be performed by the network manager.
Note: After making any changes to network settings, conduct a ping test for the net-
work address and broadcast address and check that there is no packet amplification.
6.6.1 How to set up the network
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [Network Settings].
4. Click [LAN].
5. Click [Basic Settings] to show the [Basic Settings] menu.
6. Referring to the table below, set up the network.
Item Description
Own IP Address
IP Address Input the LAN IP Address (IPv4 Address).
Subnet mask Select the LAN subnet mask.
DHCP Server
Lease information
button
Go to the DCHP lease information screen.
Use / Unuse Use: Use DHCP server in the Communication Unit.
Unuse: Do not use DHCP server.
Lease range Input the assigned start IP address (IPv4 address).
Input the assigned end IP address (IPv4 address).
Lease duration Input the lease duration (1 to 9999).
Alive monitoring
Enable/Disable Enables or disables the live connection monitoring function.
To enable the function, check ([9]) the box at [Enabled].
When enabled, an ICMP request sent from a device connected to
the Communication Unit will receive a reply if internet connection
is available.
Ping server ad-
dress
Input the ping server address for ICMP requests (IPv4 address).
