3.4.2 How to search for a satellite
Note: Satellite settings are saved inside the Communication Unit. You can also ac-
cess these settings from the Web interface (see section 5.7).
You can set to automatically or manually search and track satellites.
1. In the [Comm. Unit] menu, press S or T to select the [Satellite] menu, then press
the Enter key.
The [SAT Selection] screen appears.
Note: You can also press to open the [SAT Selection] screen.
2. Press W or X to select [AUTO], [APAC], [EMEA], [AMER], or [MEAS].
AUTO: Automatically select a satellite based on own ship position.
APAC/EMEA/AMER/MEAS: Select the fleet broadband service area to use. See
the following map for each service area.
3. Press the Enter key to confirm the setting.
The message "Wait response..." appears, followed by "Request completed.
Check the status." when the process is complete.
4. Press the key to go back to the main screen.
