6.15 SIM Card Settings
6.15.1 How to set up the PIN code requirement for SIM card
Depending on SIM card settings, it is necessary to input a PIN code when power is
turned on. It is possible to update the SIM card settings.
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [SIM Settings] to show the [SIM Settings] menu.
4. Put a [9] in the box on the left side of [Enabled] (click the box to add [9]) to require
a PIN code hereafter when the power is turned on.
To deactivate this function, uncheck the [9] in the box (click the box to delete [9]).
5. Input the PIN code in the [PIN code] field.
The characters are displayed as black circles ( ).
6. Click the [Apply] button.
The message "Applied." appears.
7. Click the [Close] button to close the message.
6.15.2 How to change the PIN code
If [PIN code] is enabled, you can change the PIN code. Be sure to memorize the PIN
code and do not forget it.
1. Referring to section 6.1, login as an Administrator.
2. Click [Admin] in the menu bar.
3. Click [SIM Settings] to show the [SIM Settings] menu.
4. Input the current PIN code in the [Current PIN] field.
5. Input the new PIN code in the [New PIN] field.
The PIN code must be between 4 to 8 characters.
6. Input the new PIN code again in the [New PIN (Confirmation)] field.
7. Click the [Apply] button.
The message "Applied." appears.
Note: The message "Invalid PIN" appears in the following circumstances.
8. Click the [Close] button to close the message.
• The PIN number entered at step 4 is incorrect, or no PIN number is entered.
•
The PIN numbers entered at steps 5 and/or 6 do not match, or no PIN number
is entered.
