7.4 Troubleshooting
If you think the equipment is not operating normally, do the checks in the table below
to find the possible causes. If repair of the equipment is necessary report the result of
the troubleshooting to the qualified technician. If you are asked the IMEI (International
Mobile Equipment Identify) number, do the following to find it.
• IP Handset: At the [Call] screen, press [*], [#], [0], [6], [#].
• Web interface: On the menu bar, click [Home], [System Information].
Note: In the following table, remedies which list the [Admin] menu require administra-
tor level login.

• Check if the power connector has loosened.
• Check if the power cable is rusted or damaged.
• Check if the voltage of the ship battery is within range (12 - 24 VDC (-10%
+30%)).
Nothing Shows on IP

• Check if the IP Handset cable is properly connected to the Communica-
tion Unit.
• Check the brightness level of screen is not too dark
The IP Handset keys
do not respond.
Push and hold the key for three seconds to restart the IP Handset.
Also reconnect the LAN cable at both ends. If the problem is not resolved,
contact your dealer.
After turning the pow-
er on, or after chang-
ing satellites, re-
establishing a con-
nection takes time.
Depending on the location of available satellites and the ship’s installation
(configuration), establishing a connection can take some time. If no connec-
tion is established after a while, try the following remedies, in order, from top
to bottom:
• Check if the antenna cable is properly connected.
• Check that the SIM card is correctly inserted.
• Check if the ship position data is correct ("--.--.--" does not appear.).
• Check that there are no objects blocking the signal between antenna and
satellite.
• In the Web interface, click [Home] o [Satellite Selection] to do a manual
satellite search.
• Restart the system.
• Check that the satellite network is available; if available, consult your
SIM provider.
