6. Click the [Add connection] button.
7. Referring to the following table, set up the connection.
Item Description
Connection Type Shows "Router mode".
Group Name Shows the registered group name.
Connection List
Add connection
button
Create a new connection. Up to ten connections can be created.
Delete button Delete the item having a checkmark [9].
Put a [9] in the box on the left side of the item to delete.
It is not possible to delete the groups in the following cases:
• "Standard" appears at the top of the connection list.
• While a data connection is active.
Service Name Shows the following type of data communication service:
• Standard data
• 8 kbps Streaming, 16 kbps Streaming, 32 kbps Streaming, 64
kbps Streaming, 128 kbps Streaming, or 256 kbps Streaming*
*: FELCOM501 only
Application Shows the application available for the data connection.
"--" appears in the [Application] field for primary connections.
Header Compres-
sion
Put a [9] in the box to activate the header compression.
Compresses the IP header in a packet before the packet is sent.
Prev button Return to the previous step while keeping the setting information.
Next button Go to the next step.
