12. Referring to the table below, set up the WAN connection settings.
13. Click the [Finish] button.
The message "The group registration was successful. Set the firewall, IP filter and
DNS filter as necessary." appears.
14. Click the [Close] button to close the message.
To set up the "Firewall", "DNS Filter", "IP Filter", "DMZ", and "VPN" settings, see
the relevant sections.
Item Description
Connection Type Shows the registered connection type.
Group Name Shows the registered group name.
APN Put a [9] in the box to use Access Point Name in the SIM card.
Use ASC II characters (other than “, ’) for the names of connec-
tion destinations (maximum 100 characters).
APN Username Input the username specified by provider (maximum 50 charac-
ters). Ok to leave blank.
APN Password Input the password specified by provider (maximum 50 charac-
ters). Ok to leave blank.
Auto connection at
startup
Put a [9] in the box to connect the topmost item on the connec-
tion list (Standard) when power is turned on.
Persistent Put a [9] in the box to activate automatic reconnection when the
data connection is unintentionally disconnected from the net-
work.
Note: This function will not be activated when the data connec-
tion is manually disconnected (for example, the power is turned
off) or disconnected by the auto disconnection function below.
Auto disconnection Put a [9] in the box(es) for the following disconnect condition(s)
to automatically disconnect the group’s line as necessary.
• [Data size - Standard Data]: Data size limit for the standard
data. If the data size exceeds this setting, connection is sev-
ered.
• [Connection time - Streaming Data]: Connection time limit for
streaming data. If the streaming time exceeds this setting,
connection is severed.
• [No communication (< 1kB) from LAN to WAN]: Set the time
for disconnection. If there is less than one kilobyte of data
transferred during this time, the connection is severed.
• [Blocking]: When communication to a satellite is blocked for
longer than the time set here, the connection is severed.
Prev button Return to the previous step while keeping the setting informa-
tion.
Finish button Register the setting information, then go to the [Group] menu.
