2. With [Number] selected, press the Enter key.
The [Phone Number] screen appears.
3. Press S to select the [Number] field, then press the Enter key.
The list of the extension numbers available appears.
4. Press S or T to select the extension number, then press the Enter key.
5. Press S or T to select the [Nickname] field, then press the Enter key.
6. Input a nickname, then press the Enter key.
You can use a maximum of 20 characters. For how to input the nickname, see
section 1.5.2.
7. Press T to select [Save], then press the Enter key.
The message "Wait response..." appears, followed by "Request completed.
Check the status." when the process is complete.
8. Press the key to go back to the main screen.
How to set the echo cancellation
Turn the echo cancellation on to suppress the echo of your own voice. If the echo can-
cellation is off, you may hear the delayed echo of your own voice in the IP Handset.
Do the following to turn echo cancellation on or off:
1. In the [Admin Settings] menu, press S or T to select the [Phone] menu, then
press the Enter key.
