8.3.5 How to change the picture advance speed
The Picture Advance setting sets how quickly vertical scan lines move across the dis-
play. When viewing a seabed with sharp rises and falls, such as a reef-bed or sub-
merged wreck, a fast advance speed helps to “smooth” out the seabed for easier
viewing. On the other hand, when viewing a smooth seabed with little to no undula-
tions, a slow advance speed helps to identify rises and falls.
You can change the picture advance speed with one of the following methods.
Do the following to change the picture advance speed.
1. Open the Home screen, then tap [Settings][Multi Beam Sonar].
2. Tap [Multi-Sounder].
3. Tap [Picture Advance].
4. Select an advance speed to suit your requirements.
The default speed is [1/1] (normal speed), the fastest speed is [4/1] (four times
normal speed) and the slowest speed is [1/8] (eight times slower than normal
speed). Select [Stop] to stop the picture advance for closer examination and
screenshots/photos.
The picture advance speed can also be changed from the Layers menu.
8.3.6 How to change the display mode
In addition to the normal multi beam sonar display, there is a “bottom zoom” display
that enlarges and displays an image of a certain distance from the seabed, and a "bot-
tom lock" display that enlarges and displays the area near the bottom. To switch the
display mode, do the following:
1. Open the Layers menu.
2. At [Display Mode], tap [Full], [Bottom Zoom] or [Bottom Lock].
8.3.7 How to show or hide the depth and frequency indications
You can show or hide the depth and TX frequency at the bottom left corner of the
screen.
1. Open the Layers menu.
2. Select [ON] or [OFF] for [Depth Information].
