8.7 PBG Recording (TZT2BB Only)
The PBG (Personal Bathymetric Generator) feature creates a high-definition seafloor
map and displays it in different colors together with contour lines. The created data is
saved to the SD card(s) connected to the TZT2BB.
Note 1: Not compatible with the internal fish finder, BBDS1, DFF1, DFF1-UHD or
DFF3.
Note 2: Requires position and heading data.
Note 3: PBG recordings cannot be shared among the NavNet TZtouch2 units in the
network. Import or export PBG recordings as necessary. See section 9.5 for the pro-
cedures.
8.7.1 How to create PBG recordings
PBG recordings cannot be shared among the NavNet TZTouch2 units in the network.
Import or export PBG recordings as necessary. See section 9.6.
Open the Slide-out menu on the chart plotter display, then tap [PBG Recording] to
start recording the seafloor. The icon turns yellow. A blue line indicating the recording
range appears behind the own ship icon, and a seafloor topographic map is drawn.
The width of the line is short in shallow waters and long in deep waters.
To stop the recording, open the Slide-out menu, then tap [PBG Recording]. The icon
turns white.
8.7.2 How to set the speed filter
You can stop recording when the speed exceeds the set speed. Stopping recording
while cruising at high speed prevents the size of the map data from increasing.
1. Home screen[Settings][Chart Plotter].
2. Set [Speed Filter] to [ON].
3. Tap [Maximum Value] to show the software keyboard.
4. Enter the speed (setting range: 3.0 to 30 kn) at which to stop recording, then tap
[].
5. Tap the close button on the title bar to finish and close the menu.
