Gilera Fuoco 500 - Refitting the Starter Motor; Cylinder Assy. and Timing System

- Install the chain guide retain plate tightening the
3 screws to the prescribed torque.
N.B.
BEFORE TIGHTENING THE SCREWS, MOVE
THE START-UP RIM IN CONTACT WITH THE
CRANKCASE AND CHECK THAT IT IS FREE
TO ROTATE IN ANTICLOCKWISE DIRECTION.
Locking torques (N*m)
Chain guide sliding block retain plate fasten-
ing screws 3 ÷ 4
Refitting the starter motor
- Check that the O-ring is in good working order
and lubricate it.
- Insert the starter motor.
- Tighten the 2 fastening screws to the prescribed
torque.
Locking torques (N*m)
Starter screws 11 ÷ 13
Cylinder assy. and timing system
- Remove the external and internal transmission
cover.
- Remove the flywheel cover, the flywheel and the
torque limiter.
