ODYSSEY - WINDOWS™ BASED PC GRAPHICS SOFTWARE OUTPUT
A PC running this Graphics Management Software can be connected to the panel via either an RS232, RS485, Fibre-Optic
or TCP/IP data link. This can be achieved by connecting the relevant J-NET-ADV-COMS Interface board onto the 20 way
box header present on the Connector Board (See picture below). The communication data rate is 9600 baud with 8 data
bits, 1 stop bit and no parity. Connection to a PC requires a suitable interface for the chosen communications media.
Alternatively the same Advance Comms Interface may be used for connection to a standard modem. Using the modem
allows remote monitoring and control via the telephone network. Connection to a modem requires an RS232 extension.
BMS
A Building Management System (BMS) can be connected to the Main Panel via an RS232 link. This can be achieved by
plugging a Comms Adapter interface board onto the 20 way box header present on the Connector Board. The
communication data rate is 9600 baud with 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and no parity.
