Exterior maintenance
Wash vehicle
A regular vehicle wash helps to protect its
appearance. Dust and sand grains can
damage the paint surface while fallen
leaves and bird droppings can take the
shine off the paint surface.
Wash your vehicle in a shady spot and not
under direct sunlight. If the vehicle has
been parked under direct sunlight for
some time, you must move the vehicle to a
shaded spot before cleaning, and wait until
the body surface is cooled down.
Clean methods
1. Check that there are no fallen leaves,
bird droppings, etc., on the vehicle
body.
Clean these dirt with a rag or a
scavenger, then rinse immediately with
clean water so as not to damage the
vehicle body surface finish.
2. Wash the vehicle thoroughly with water
to remove surface dust.
Clean your vehicle using the solution
and a soft brush, sponge, or a piece of
soft cloth.
3. Fill a bucket with water. Add automo-
bile detergent to prepare a solution.
Start your cleaning from the roof and
work downwards.
4. After washing and cleaning the entire
vehicle, use a dedicated wipe cloth or
towel to dry off the vehicle. Do not al-
low the vehicle to dry out naturally as
this may cause the vehicle body to lose
its luster or generate water stains.
Caution
〉
Chemical solvent and strong cleaning
solution can cause damage to the vehi-
cle body paint as well as metal and plas-
tic components of the vehicle.
〉
After washing the vehicle or driving
through flooded road, step on the brake
pedal lightly to make sure that the brake
is functioning normally.
〉
When washing the vehicle in cold sea-
son, do not flush the gaps in the key-
holes or doors, etc. to prevent the lock
hole or seal strip from freezing.
