Tips for safety
Notice
The radar detection device of parking assist system is affected by ultrasonic characteris-
tics. Incapability or poor detection may be caused under the following circumstances,
which are not system failures:
〉
The obstacles are tiny objects such as barbed wire, fence, post and rope.
〉
When the surface of the obstacle does not reflect detection signals and the obstacle is
a person wearing such clothes.
〉
When the obstacle is snow, cotton or other substances of which the surface can easily
absorb sound waves.
〉
When the obstacle is an acute-angle reflector or cone shaped;
〉
When driving through grass or over rough terrain.
〉
The driver reverses the vehicle on a slope.
〉
There are ultrasonic noises with the same frequency around, such as metal noise, high-
pressure gas emission noise, and horn sensor buzzing.
〉
The license plate is bent or tilted, or a large license plate decorative frame is installed.
〉
sundries on the transducers.
In order to ensure the normal operation of the system, the sensor must be kept clean
and free of snow and ice.
