Tips for safety
Warning

Parking on a slope steeper than the pre-
scribed limit may cause an accident.
Please drive safely and avoid risky park-
ing situations.
〉
If the slope is too steep, use of the park-
ing brake system will not be able to stop
your vehicle completely. In this case,
step on the brake pedal to prevent the
vehicle from sliding.
Electronic parking brake

When the vehicle is stationary and the
ignition switch is switched to LOCK
mode, the electronic parking brake
(EPB) will be applied automatically. At
this point, the parking brake indicator
on the combination instrument turns on.

If the parking brake is not required,
press and hold the EPB switch while
switching the ignition switch to LOCK
mode.
〉
After the vehicle is stationary, pull up the
EPB switch to apply the parking brake.
At this point, the parking brake indicator
on the combination instrument turns
on.
Emergency braking
In case of emergency, pull up the EPB
switch and hold it, then use the EPB sys-
tem to brake the vehicle.
You can cancel the emergency brake by
releasing the EPB switch or by stepping
on the accelerator pedal.
Warning
The emergency braking function of the
EPB system can only be used in the event
of an emergency braking (e.g. when the
brake pedal is blocked).
