This switch disconnects all scanner subsystems, after the GFI breaker, from electrical
power, effectively disabling power to:
Heads
Power tracks
TES pump
Transformer
Motor drive and motor
Cable end power supplies
Cable end computers
User interface panels
CAUTION
Mill-supplied AC power terminates inside the cable end cabinet. Even
though the scanner power switch is locked to the OFF position, AC power
is still provided to the scanner input circuitry: cables, EMI filter, GFI
breaker, and power switch (refer to Scanner Power Schematic p/n
658080001566AS04).
To fully disconnect the power from the input circuitry and scanner AC
cables, deactivate the circuit breaker at the power distribution room
located outside the scanner (mill/site circuit breaker panel).
2.3.2.9 Over Temperature Protection
Description:
Over-temperature protection is provided through the use of:
Temperature reporting from upper and lower heads.
A thermal switch and temperature reporting of air wipe heater.
A thermal switch in the lower left corner of the cable end cabinet (see Figure 42)
