2.4.2 Scanner Stop Push Button
A yellow SCANNER STOP push button is located on the door at each end of the scanner
(see Figure 57).

If this button is pressed, the enable signal to the motor controller is instantly cut off, and
the scanner heads stop.
The QCS server indicates that the SCANNER STOP push button has been pressed, and
that the operator must release the switch and push the offsheet button on the scanner
user panel to resume operation. The SCANNER STOP push button is released by pulling it
to enable the knob to return to the extended position.
Each button has dual pole switch configuration to connect to the FC and directly to the
motor controller enable signal. This redundancy ensures that the motor enable signal is
controlled not only by the FC, but also through a hard-wired connection to the motor
controller enable signal.
