When a new recipe is selected all recipe setpoints stored in the database are immediately
loaded as target values.
If the Supervisory loops (Controlled Variables such as Reel Weight and Reel Moisture) are
in control, speed, steam, and stock flow moves immediately to achieve the new CV
setpoints.
For a MANUAL grade change, you may choose to turn the Supervisory loops OFF, load the
new recipe, place the Manipulated Variables such as Basis Weight Flow in Computer and
ease them up or down until it gets a CV such as Reel Weight close to the standard target,
and then turn the Supervisory control back ON.
Color Code
NOTE
User can set the main code and color code as “coupled” and “decoupled”
under engineering settings:
When the setting is coupled, the color code will be automatically
selected when you select the main code.
When the setting is decoupled, the color code needs be manually
selected.
To select a color code, use the following instructions:
1. Navigate to Simple Recipe Change page.
2. On the Select Recipe Type field, click on the drop-down to select the desired color
code.
