Step 10 Pull out part of the FlexIO card to have the FlexIO card disconnected from the
port on the mainboard. Remove the FlexIO from of the server. See (2) in Figure
7-102.
Step 11 (Optional) Remove the
bae plate from the FlexIO card.
NO TE
If no bae plate is delivered with the spare FlexIO card, remove the bae plate from the
FlexIO card for future use.
NO TICE
When removing the bae plate from the FlexIO card, do not pull out the FlexIO
card horizontally. Otherwise, the pins of the network ports may be damaged.
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screws that secure the bae plate
with the FlexIO card. See (1) in Figure 7-103. The positions of the screws vary
depending on the FlexIO card model.
2. Keeping the FlexIO card horizontally level, hold the bae plate with one
hand and the two sides of the FlexIO card with the other hand. Pull apart the
bae plate in the direction shown by (2) in Figure 7-103. Check whether the
