You have installed all DIMMs on the memory board to be installed. For details, see
5.2.8 Installing a DIMM.
Data
● You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
● You have located the RH8100 V3 based on the preceding information, and
labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
● You have determined the position on the RH8100 V3 for installing a memory
board.
Tools
● ESD gloves
● Packaging materials, for example, an ESD bag

Spare memory board
Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Take the spare memory board out of the ESD bag, and install all DIMMs of the
required model on the memory board.
Step 3 Insert the memory board slowly into the slot on the compute module while
holding the ejector lever on the memory board. See step (1) in Figure 5-5.
Step 4 Lower the ejector lever on the memory board. See step (2) in Figure 5-5.
