5.6.3 Removing a Hard Disk
This topic describes how to remove a hard disk when you replace the original one
or use a new model.
Scenarios
Remove a hard disk if:
● The hard disk has failed.
● The hard disk needs to be replaced with a new model.
● The hard disk has no free space and needs to be replaced.
The server does not need to be powered o when the hard disk is removed.
Prerequisites
Conditions
Data in the disk is backed up and the RAID conguration is deleted if there are
services running on the RH8100 V3.

● You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
