5.8.10 Installing a Supercapacitor
This topic describes how to install a supercapacitor.
Scenarios
You can congure a supercapacitor to provide power failure protection for the
LSISAS3108 controller card. Install a supercapacitor if:
● A supercapacitor has failed.
● A supercapacitor is low.
Prerequisites
Conditions
● You have powered o the RH8100 V3. For details, see 6.2 Powering O the
RH8100 V3. Then you have removed all power cables from the server.
● You have removed the front I/O module from the RH8100 V3. For details, see
5.8.1 Removing the Front I/O Module.
Data
● You have obtained the cabinet number and chassis number of the RH8100 V3.
● You have located the RH8100 V3 to be removed based on the preceding
information, and have labeled its panel to prevent misoperations.
● You have determined the position on the RH8100 V3 for installing a
supercapacitor.
