Huawei RH8100 V3 - Removing a TPM or TCM

Procedure
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves. For details, see 1 Safety Instructions.
Step 2 Take the spare HFC out of the ESD bag, and install a TPM or TCM and a USB ash
drive on the HFC.
Step 3 Insert the HFC gently into the slot while holding the ejector levers on the HFC. See
step (1) in Figure 5-140.
Step 4 Lower the ejector levers on the HFC. See step (2) in Figure 5-140.

5.10.3 Removing a TPM or TCM
This topic describes how to remove a trusted platform module (TPM) or trusted
cryptography module (TCM).
Scenarios
Remove a TPM or TCM if:
● The TPM or TCM has failed.
● The TPM or TCM needs to be replaced with a new model.
A TPM and a TCM are similar in terms of appearance and replacement procedure. This topic
describes how to remove a TPM.
