Step 5 Remove the CPU from the compute module, and place the compute module in an
ESD bag.
Before placing the compute module in an ESD bag, check that a CPU socket cover is
installed on a vacant CPU socket. For details about how to install a CPU cover, see 5.2.5

5.2.2 Installing a Compute Module
This topic describes how to install a compute module when you replace the
original one or replace the CPU on the compute module.
Scenarios
Install a compute module if:
● A compute module has failed.
● The CPU on a compute module has failed.

Conditions
● You have powered o the RH8100 V3. For details, see 6.2 Powering O the
RH8100 V3. Then you have removed all power cables from the server.
