Querying the Network Port Names of the Internal NIC
Query the network port names of the internal NIC BCM5720.
1. Run the lspci | grep broadcom command to query the value of bus-info for
each network port on this NIC.
In the command output, 07:00.0 and 07:00.1 in the red rectangles are the
values of bus-info for two network ports on the NIC.
2. Run the ifcong -a command to list all network ports.
In the command output, eth
X indicates a network port name.
3. Run the ethtool -i eth X command to query the value of bus-info for each
network port. (In the command, eth X is a network port name queried in step
2.)
Compare the values of bus-info queried in step 1 with those queried in step 3.
If two values of bus-info are the same, the corresponding eth
X is a network
port name of the internal NIC.
