CAUTION: Avoid bending ber-opc cable beyond its minimum bend radius. An arc
smaller than a few inches in diameter can damage the cable and cause problems that
are dicult to diagnose.

Disconnect a Fiber-Opc Cable from the PTX10001-36MR
Before you disconnect a ber-opc cable from a PTX10001-36MR, ensure that you have taken the
necessary precauons for safe handling of lasers (see "Radiaon from Open Port Apertures Warning" on
page 164 and "Laser and LED Safety Guidelines and Warnings" on page 161).
Ensure that you have the following parts and tools available:
Rubber safety cap to cover the transceiver
Rubber safety cap to cover the ber-opc cable connector
The PTX10001-36MR has opcal transceivers to which you can connect ber-opc cables.
To disconnect a ber-opc cable from an opcal transceiver installed in the PTX10001-36MR:
