PTX10001-36MR Alarm Messages Overview
When the Roung Engine detects an alarm condion, it lights the red or yellow alarm LED on the
management panel as appropriate. To view a more detailed descripon of the alarm cause, issue the
show system alarm CLI command:

System Alarm Messages on the PTX10001-36MR
System alarms indicate a failure on the device or one of its components. System alarms are preset and
cannot be modied.
System alarms on PTX10001-36MR devices have two severity levels:
Major (red)—Indicates a crical situaon on the device that has resulted from one of the condions
described in Table 35 on page 129. A red alarm condion requires immediate acon.
Minor (yellow or amber)—Indicates a noncrical condion on the device that, if le unchecked, might
cause an interrupon in service or degradaon in performance. A yellow alarm condion requires
monitoring or maintenance.
Table 35 on page 129 describes the system alarm messages on the PTX10001-36MR.
