PTX10001-36MR Environmental Requirements and Specicaons
The PTX10001-36MR must be installed in a rack or cabinet. It must be housed in a dry, clean, well-
venlated, and temperature-controlled environment.
Follow these environmental guidelines:
The site must be as dust-free as possible, because dust can clog air intake vents and lters, reducing
the eciency of the PTX10001-36MR cooling system.
Maintain ambient airow for normal PTX10001-36MR operaon. If the airow is blocked or
restricted, or if the intake air is too warm, the chassis might overheat, leading to the
PTX10001-36MR temperature monitor shung down the router to protect the hardware
components.
Table 22 on page 49 provides the required environmental condions for normal PTX10001-36MR
operaon.
Table 22: PTX10001-36MR Environmental Tolerances
