Performing Spot Measurement
Performing Spot Measurement
B2900 can be used as a DC voltage or current meter. The following procedure
performs one point current measurement.
Step 1. Setting the measurement mode (current measurement)
Press the
Measure assist key on a 1-ch model, or the Ch1 Measure assist key on a 2-ch
model. And press the
AMPS (I) assist key.
The rotary knob and arrow keys are also available for setting the measurement
mode, in the same way as for setting the Source mode under “Applying DC Output”.
Step 2. Enabling the channel
Press the Ch 1 switch to enable channel 1. This turns the switch green.
Channel 1 starts applying the voltage specified by the Source value.
Step 3. Starting measurement
• Press the key to start a single (one shot) measurement. Spot
measurement is performed once.
• Press the key to start a repeat (continuous) measurement. Spot
measurement is performed repeatedly.
The measurement results will be displayed in the left half of the LCD.
The following example shows the measurement results for a 1 k resistor connected
between the High Force and Low Force terminals of channel 1.
Step 4. Disabling the channel
Press the Ch 1 switch to disable channel 1. This turns off the switch light.
