Connecting the internal drive to a personal
computer
In order to exchange files, you can access the internal drive of Pa1000 from a
personal computer. You don’t need any dedicated driver to connect Pa1000
and the personal computer.
Connect Pa1000 to the personal computer
Use a standard USB cable to connect the USB DEVICE port of Pa1000 to an
USB port of the personal computer.
Enable USB communication
1 Go to the Media > USB page, and use the Device menu to choose the internal
drive to be shared.
2 Touch the Enable button to start sharing. The icon of the Pa1000s internal
drive will appear in your personal computer.
While USB file transfer is enabled, you cannot access other functions on
Pa1000. MIDI Over USB is also disabled.
After starting the USB connection, accessing the internal drive from the
computer may take some time, depending on the size of the internal drive
and the amount of data it contains.
Do not try to change the label (name) of its internal drive when Pa1000 is
connected to a personal computer. If you try to do it, the original name is
automatically restored.
Also, do not modify the structure of the SET folders, or you will no longer be
able to use them on Pa1000. Only use the USB connection for data exchange
purpose, or to modify ordinary folders.
