eitherconditionisobserved,correctandretrywiththesameDIMM.(Note:EventLogmay
containarecent00580A4eventdenotingdetectedchangeinDIMMpopulationthatcould
berelatedtothisproblem.)
3.Ifproblempersists,replacetheDIMMidentifiedbyLightPathand/oreventlogentry.
4.Ifproblemre-occursonthesameDIMMconnector,swaptheotherDIMMsonthesamememory
channelacrosschannelsoneatatimetoadifferentmemorychannelorProcessor.(check
serviceinformationforthisproduct/Installguideforpopulationrequirementsforsparing/paring
modes).IfproblemfollowsamovedDIMMtoadifferentmemorychannel,replacethatDIMM.
5.CheckIBMsupportsiteforanapplicableservicebulletinorfirmwareupdatethatappliestothis
memoryerror.
6.(Trainedservicetechnicianonly)IfproblemstayswiththeoriginalDIMMconnector,re-inspect
DIMMconnectorforforeignmaterialandremove,iffound.Ifconnectorisdamaged,replace
systemboard.
7.(Trainedservicetechnicianonly)RemoveaffectedProcessorandinspectProcessorsocketpins
fordamagedormis-alignedpins.Ifdamageisfound,orthisisanupgradeProcessor,replace
systemboard.IftherearemultipleProcessor’s,swapProcessor’stomoveaffectedProcesorto
anotherProcessorsocketandretry.IfproblemfollowstheaffectedProcessor(orthereisonly
oneProcessor),replacetheaffectedProcessor.
8.(TrainedServicetechnicianonly)Replacethesystemboard.
