Theroutefeaturesallowyouto:
•Buildandsavearouteforusewhenrequired
(storedintheroutelist).
•Navigate(follow)routes.
•Manageandeditroutesstoredonthesystem.
•Buildaroutefromanexistingtrack.
Routefeaturesareaccessedfromthechart
application:
•byselectinganexistingroute.
•byusingtheBuildRouteoptionfromthechart
contextmenu.
•byusingtheChartapplicationmenu:Menu>
Navigate>FollowRouteorBuildRoute.
Note:TheRouteListcanalsobeaccessedfrom
thehomescreenbyselectingMyDataandthen
Routes.
Routebuilding
Aroutecanconsistofacombinationof:
•Newwaypoints
•existingwaypoints
•anexistingtrack
Aseachwaypointisadded,itisassignedanindex
numbercorrespondingtoitspositionintheroute
anddrawnonthechartusingthecurrentlyspecied
symbol.Thefollowingshouldbenoted:
•Whenarouteisbeingbuiltitisnotactiveanddoes
notaffectanycurrentnavigation.
•Youcannotsaveanewrouteifanyofthe
waypointswithinitarecurrentlyactive.
Buildingaroute
Youcanbuildarouteonatouchscreenmultifunction
displaybyfollowingthestepsbelow.
