installationfeaturingmorethanonesourceofGPS
data.
MDSenablesyoutomanageconictsinvolvingthe
followingtypesofdata:
•GPSPosition.
•Heading.
•Depth.
•Speed.
•Wind.
Typicallythisexerciseiscompletedaspartofthe
initialinstallation,orwhennewequipmentisadded.
IfthisexerciseisNOTcompletedthesystemwill
automaticallyattempttoresolvedataconicts.
However,thismayresultinthesystemchoosinga
sourceofdatathatyoudonotwanttouse.
IfMDSisavailablethesystemcanlisttheavailable
datasourcesandallowyoutoselectyourpreferred
datasource.ForMDStobeavailableallproducts
inthesystemthatusethedatasourceslisted
abovemustbeMDS-compliant.Thesystemcan
listanyproductsthatareNOTcompliant.Itmay
benecessarytoupgradethesoftwareforthese
non-compliantproductstomakethemcompliant.
