5.7 Task mode
Task navigation mode is used for task manipulation. Navigation in this page is done
exclusively to selected turnpoints.
A task can be created only from waypoints stored in active waypoint file. A task
can be loaded from tasks stored in active waypoint file. A task can also be saved
to an active waypoint file. (See chapter 5.1.5.4 for details how to set active
waypoint file). A task used for navigation will also be the declared in IGC file.
Task mode is having four pages. Use bottom-right knob to switch between pages. Pages are
designed to suit need for racing tasks as well as for assigned area task with minimum task
time.
First page is identical to airport and waypoint mode first page. It shows navigational data to
current turnpoint. However, the final glide indicator always shows required altitude to finish.
Second page is designed for racing tasks. Additional to data on first page the following data
is shown:
• Tsk.Sp., Task speed displays task speed achieved until now.
• tDis. Symbol shows remaining total task distance.
• tskE shows required glider ratio to task finish.
Third page is designed for tasks with time limits, which are in most cases going to be
assigned area task. Additional to data on second page, two new symbols are added:
• tReq.Sp, which is required speed to task finished and is calculated as remaining task
distance divided by remaining time.
• tRemain symbol indicates remaining task time.
Fourth page has no map and shows time values for task being flown and elevation of finish
point. Additional outside temperature and battery voltage are shown.
When any of six buttons is pressed, functions for buttons are shown. If selected button is
pressed once more, selected action will take place. Press MORE>> button to see more
actions. If remote stick is available, behavior is slightly different. When check button is
pressed on remote stick menu will appear, instead of button functions.
