Actions are different, when flying or on ground. During flying two additional actions are
added START/NEXT and RESTART.
• Mc/Bal action will set MacCready, ballast and bugs, See chapter 5.5.5.2 for more details.
• Edit action is used to edit task. This is the one and only that will be declared and will be
available for navigation.
• Move action is used in assigned area tasks to move navigation point inside selected
assigned are.
• Restart is used to restart a task. This action is available only when flying
• Start or Next option is used to start a task or to advance to next turn point.
• Load action will load task from active waypoint file tasks.
• Map item is used to change quickly and modify map parameters, See chapter 5.5.5.3 for
more details.
• Rot.FAI will rotate FAI area, if it is enabled. If it is not enabled, this option is not shown.
• Wind will open dialog, where wind changes with altitude are shown, wind can set and
methods for wind calculation are shown. See chapter 5.5.5.4 for more details.
• Airspace shows list of airspace zones in vicinity of our position, See chapter 5.5.5.5 for
more details.
• Event is used to log an event. Recording rate will be increased to 1 second for one
minute. A message “Event marked” will be shown on screen.
• Off will switch of instrument. Message LX8000 switching off will be displayed.
5.7.1 Task edit
Press EDIT action and task edit dialog will open. Task is created and manipulated in this
dialog. A list of task points is shown. In upper left corner, type and total distance is
displayed. In upper right corner task time is shown. Use bottom-right knob to select task
points or task time control.
There are plenty of actions available in task edit dialog to make creation of task as easy as
possible.
