Overview, Prescan, Scan
Overview button
The Overview button previews all the slide or negative film images from your
scanner. The entire film holder is previewed when you click the Overview button
and displayed on the Job Panel window in thumbnail size. Thumbnail image size
can be set to 96 x 96 pixels or 128 x 128 pixels depending on the setting
specified in the More Preferences command under the Preferences menu.
Prescan button
The Prescan button previews in high resolution a particular slide or negative film
image selected from the Overview images. Multiple prescans can be done if you
have several selected scan jobs.
To obtain multiple prescan images:
1. Select your scan jobs in the Job Panel window (see the Job Panel window
section for more details).
2. To select multiple scan jobs randomly, press the Shift key (Mac) / Ctrl key (PC)
and click on the thumbnails of your choice.
To select all scan jobs, click on the Select All button in the Toolbar of the Job
Panel window.
3. Then click the Prescan button to start the multiple prescanning process of
selected images into the Preview window.
To preview a particular prescan from the Preview window, click the
corresponding image on the Job Panel window.
Frame prescanning or prescan the area enclosed by the scan frame only. To
choose, click on the arrowhead in the Prescan button to display option.
The selected Scan Frame setting is applicable towards the final scan.
