Hydraulicuidordieselfuelleakingunderpressurecanpenetratetheskinandcauseinfectionor
otherinjury.Topreventpersonalinjury:Relieveallpressurebeforedisconnectinguidlinesorper-
formingworkonthehydraulicsystem.Beforeapplyingpressure,makesureallconnectionsaretight
andallcomponentsareingoodcondition.Neveruseyourhandtocheckforsuspectedleaksunder
pressure.Useapieceofcardboardorwoodforthispurpose.Ifinjuredbyleakinguid,seeyour
doctorimmediately.
Failuretocomplycouldresultinminorormoderateinjury.

1.OpentheHydrocover(1).Releasethecoverlatchby
pushingupontherelease.
2.Oncethehydrocoverisreleasedwiththelatchknob,
pullthecoverawayslightlyandpushuponthesec-
ondarycatch(locatedatthefrontinsideofthecover)
tofullyopen.Thesecondarycatchisspringloadedand
willautomaticallylatchwhenthecoverisclosed.

NOTE:Thesuspensionmustbefullyextendedbeforeopeningthehydrocover.
3.Thoroughlycleantheareaaroundeachlter(1)before
removingthelters.
4.Placeacontainerundertheltersandwithalter
wrench,removetheoldltersbyturningcounterclock-
wiseasviewedfromthebaseofthelter.
5.Lightlyoilthesealonthenewlters.Installtheltersby
turningtheltersclockwiseuntilthesealcontactsthe
lterhead.Tightenthelteranadditional1/2to3/4turn
byhand.Disposeofhydraulicuidandltersproperly.
NOTICE:Donotusealterwrenchtoinstallthelteror
overtighteningwilloccur.

6.Starttheunitandcheckforleaksatthelters.Shutthe
vehicleengineoffandallowthehydraulicoiltocool.
Checkthehydraulicoillevel(1)atthereservoir.Fillas
needed.
7.Closethehydrocoverafterlterreplacement.
