IntelliSpray™usespulsewidthmodulationtechnologyandstandardspraytips.Itworksalongwiththeratecon-
trollertogivetheoperatorindependentcontrolofspeed,owrateandpressure.Thistechnologyprovidesforgreater
operatorconvenienceandimprovedapplicationpractices.
NOTICE:DisconnectthepowerwiresorpulltheIntelliSpray™fusesatthebatterybeforejumpstartingorwelding
onthesprayertopreventdamagetotheIntelliSpray™components.
NOTICE:IfthemachineisequippedwithIntelliSpray™,install80meshboomstrainerscreens.Checkboomstrain-
ersonaregularbasistokeepthemcleanandowingcorrectly.
NOTICE:Frequentlywashtheboomandvalveswithlowpressurespraytoremovedirtandfertilizertohelpprevent
corrosionofthevalvehousings.Donotwashtheboomwithhighpressurespray;thehighpressurespraycanforce
fertilizerandothercorrosivematerialsintoconnectorsandhousings,causingcorrosionandfailures.
IntelliSpray™NozzleControlValves(NCV)
EachnozzlebodyisequippedwithaNozzleControlValve(NCV).TheNozzleControlValves(NCV)controlow
byvaryingthedutycycle(ontime/offtime)ofthepulses,whenusedwitharatecontrollertheowcontrolisdone
automatically.
EachNozzleControlValve(NCV)shouldmakenoticeableclickingsoundandcanbeoperatedwithoutowtothe
boomsection.

IntelliSpray™isdesignedtoallowforindependentowandpressurecontrol.Thisfeatureallowsforpressurestobe
modiedasnecessarytoallowdropletsizechangesonthego.Itisbesttoselectthetargetpressuretogetthetarget
dropletsizedesiredfortheproductthatisbeingused.Then,usingthepressureset-pointfunction,setthesecond
pressureatasuitablepressurethatofferscoarserdropletsfordriftsensitiveareas.Thisallowsthetargetpressure
andtargetdropletsizestobeusedwhereefcacyisthepriorityandforlowerpressureandlargerdropletstobeused
whendriftcontrolisthepriority.
Coverage
IntelliSpray™overcomesskippingbyseveralmethods;oneisthattherearetwocontrolsignalsbeingusedtocontrol
thepulsingNozzleControlValves(NCV).Thisallowsforadjacentnozzlestobeonehalfofacycleoutofphase.The
secondistorecommend110°tipsfor100%overlap.If80°tipsareselected,theboommustbeoperatedataheight
whichprovides100%overlap.Thethirdisthefactthatthespraypatternfansoutfromthefronttobackasitmoves
fromthetiptotheground,thiscoupledwiththegroundspeedandwindturbulencecombinetoform“BlendedPulse
Spraying”.
TipselectionforIntelliSpray™
TipselectionwithIntelliSpray™issimple.IntelliSpray™willworkwithmostcommonagriculturaltipsonthemarket
withtheexceptionoftheairinductionnozzles.Theairventuriofthesetipsdoesnotworkwiththerapidpulsing.Do
notuseairinductiontipswithIntelliSpray™.
